Making a Launch Page
A launch page allows you to connect to any of your PeopleSoft instances. You can create such a page fairly easily. The general format of a standard PeopleSoft login page is:
https://ServerName:PortNumber/DataBase/signon.html
For example:
http://www.homemarketeer.com/go?n1=PSDEV&l1=https://ourserver:8080/PSDEV/signon.html
You can add your Test and UAT databases:
http://www.homemarketeer.com/go?n1=PSDEV&l1=https://ourserver:8080/PSDEV/signon.html &n2=PSTEST&l2=https://ourserver:8080/PSTEST/signon.html &n3=PSUAT&l3=https://ourserver:8080/PSUAT/signon.html
Rather than edit these unwieldy URLs, you can use the Edit link on the page to just simply add the names and URLs you want to see.
You can also add the Oracle home page to appear below the fast links:
http://www.homemarketeer.com/go?n1=PSDEV&l1=https://ourserver:8080/PSDEV/signon.html &n2=PSTEST&l2=https://ourserver:8080/PSTEST/signon.html &n3=PSUAT&l3=https://ourserver:8080/PSUAT/signon.html &Page=http://www.oracle.com
Of course, you are not just restricted to PeopleSoft, you can add any links on - like your favourite Wiki:
http://www.homemarketeer.com/go?n1=PSDEV&l1=https://ourserver:8080/PSDEV/signon.html &n2=PSTEST&l2=https://ourserver:8080/PSTEST/signon.html &n3=PSUAT&l3=https://ourserver:8080/PSUAT/signon.html &n4=TekiWiki&l4=http://www.homemarketeer.com/wiki &Page=http://www.oracle.com
